Reticulated Minimalism #1 - #12 : The Rolling Cubes

The Rolling Cubes, as they were dubbed during an art exhibition, are constructed of stainless steel (316LSI) or Silica-grade Bronze and range in sizes from 1" to 4".

The Rolling Cubes are another of J's meditative pieces. Each piece is not static. When you pick it up, it responds and conforms to your hand. It is solid but moves in a fabric-like state while continuing to suggest the idea of a square. When moved, each cube displays a personality unique to its own whimsy. One cube moves one way when pushed while another would move in another way. Each were constructed of the same materials with the same pattern and identical rings, but chaotic individualities gave each cube their own predilection against conformity.

Reticulated Minimalism is another piece that is variable depending on who views and interacts with it. Video should soon be available of the Rolling Cubes and their styles of movement.
