Winding Walkway of the Hillsborough

Winding Walkways
Of the Hillsborough

This is a walkway in a state park along the Hillsborough River. It was a state park whose sign simply declared it a 'state park.' It had board walks that went for miles and miles through the most gorgeous cypress and swamplands.

I was trying to capture the movement in this particular image. The wind was blowing at a steady pace, shaking the branches overhead in a hypnotic sway. This cast shadows on the boardwalk that moved with every sway of the trees overhead. It was mesmorizing watching the shadows and sunlight chased eachother in some forbidden dance upon the ground underfoot.

One of my friends told me this would make a good inspirational poster. Maybe. I just couldn't imagine what kind of happy-go-lucky footnote would attend this image.
