Raccoon Gazing to the Sun

Raccoon Gazing to the Sun

The same Raccoon as in the above shot. As I snapped off photograph after photograph of the raccoon, he blinked and looked around in the early morning sunlight as if still too lazy yet to rise.

As he stretched, the raccoon looked upwards at the morning sun and the light cascaded down his face like fresh rain. I love this photograph because his whiskers seem to light up like shafts of starlight in the morning sun. Its wonderfully visible in the larger images and it always makes me kind of giddy inside at how well this image turned out.

Soon after this particular image, the raccoon slinked off and away. I swear I catch this guy now and again wandering around the woods.
